“Count on Shell” Driving Safety Information Campaign

More than 110 million road safety booklets have been distributed at more than 10,000 Shell stations in 39 states across the nation and as inserts in national publications such as Sports Illustrated, Time, People, Reader’s Digest, Sports Illustrated, Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report.

A series of five booklets were distributed in succession with a new booklet appearing approximately every four months. The five booklets include Breakdown: Roadside emergencies and how you can prevent them; Alone Behind The Wheel: What to do and what not to do when driving by yourself; Driving Dangers: Handling hazardous situations behind the wheel; Kids In The Car: Keeping them safe, secure and somewhat satisfied, and Crash Course: Simple tips that could help save lives.

The booklets have been created in partnership with several national organizations, including the American Red Cross, the Federal Highway Administration, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, National Safety Council, the American Trauma Society and the National Crime Prevention Council.
