ITW Global Brands Announces Formation of New Marketing Communications Team to Serve Black Magic, Fast Orange, Fix-A-Flat, Gumout, Permatex, Slime and Rain-X Retail Customers

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ITW Global Brands, a division of Illinois Tool Works, announced the formation of a new marketing communications department (MARCOM) to offer strategic branding, marketing and consistency of message to our automotive aftermarket retail customers. The new team will offer a one-stop-shop for all marketing collateral, merchandising, sales promotions, traffic drivers, and online marketing for the Black Magic, Fast Orange, Fix-A-Flat, Gumout, Permatex, Slime and Rain-X brands.

Debbie Hodson has been appointed director, MARCOM, ITWGB, to deliver best-in-class, customized marketing solutions to ITW retail customers as she leads with a deep knowledge of customer strategies and key initiatives.”

Debbie brings 23 years of extensive retail, marketing and automotive experience to the role, especially in the areas of promotions and consumer/customer relationship management,” said James Stone, Vice President & General Manager, ITW Global Brands. “She will oversee all marketing communications programs and be directly responsible for all promotions, merchandising, and customer/channel brand activation for the U.S. retail business. Additionally, she will oversee all activities for Consumer Relationship Management, Retail Trade Shows and our in-house MARCOM Creative Services department.”

Prior to this role, Ms. Hodson, was most recently a director with ITW Car Care, driving sales growth, providing leadership and establishing closer relationships with customers. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.“

Tia Mastrangelo, Senior MARCOM Mass/Club/Specialty Manager responsible for setting the marketing communications strategy for Mass/Club/Specialty while delivering measureable results for ITWGB. Prior to working in the automotive aftermarket, Tia was a marketing manager with Coty USA. She received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas.

Mark Tuckerhas been promoted to Senior MARCOM Auto Manager responsible for setting the marketing communications strategy for our automotive accounts. Prior to ITW, Mark came from Sixfoot, a creative engagement agency. He received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, and a master’s degree in critical studies from University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California.

Megan Hemmehas been promoted to MARCOM Mass/Club/Specialty Manager responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class retail customer marketing activities that drive market share, and deliver revenue and profitable margin growth. Megan brings a diverse background having been in sales, new product development, and brand marketing. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California.

Cara Mitchellhas been promoted to MARCOM Auto/Mass/Club/Specialty Associate responsible for supporting the development and implementation of successful account-specific marketing activities for all retail brands within ITWGB. Cara’s sales and retail (O’Reilly Parts Specialist) experience provide a strong foundation for this role. She received her bachelor’s in marketing and international business from AlabamaState University, Montgomery, Alabama, and a master’s degree of business administration from Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas.

Laura Brasile,Trade Show & Customer Relationship Management Manager will be responsible for all trade shows, AAPEX, and CRM initiatives for retail brands and channels. Laura will be celebrating her 20thanniversary with Loctite/Permatex/ITW.

Johnny Hoang, Senior Graphic Designer for MARCOM will be responsible for providing strategic guidance in graphic design across the ITWGB retail product portfolio. Johnny received his associate’s degree in visual communication from The Art Institute of Houston, Houston, Texas.

Jay Simmonshas been promoted to Senior Graphic Designer, responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership with graphic design across the ITWGB retail product portfolio. Jay received his bachelor’s degree in communication design from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas.
